Cascadia PTA’s Science, Technology, Engineering and Math Fair 2026

The Cascadia PTA is hosting the annual S.T.E.M. fair to help your kids explore their interests in mathematics, science, engineering, and technology! Read on for details about the events and how to participate.
Hey, we’re looking for volunteers! That could be you! Please reach out to Daniel Kucinski at kucinski.daniel@gmail.com if you’d like to help out.
Science & Engineering Fair Activities
- STEM Projects: Students can participate by working on a STEM project they design at home. Working independently or in groups, students carry out projects at home anytime from February–April and create a tri-fold display. Participation is optional and open to all Cascadia students, regardless of grade level.
- Cascadia STEM Fair: Cascadia students and families are invited to our in-person STEM Fair at the school on April 23 from 6-7:30 PM.
Students can register to display their projects and community organizations will host tables with activities or presentations.

| Date | Milestone |
| Feb – April | Project Development: Students work on their science or engineering projects and tri-fold displays at home. |

Information about Student Projects
- All Cascadia students in grades 2–5 are invited to participate with a science or engineering project. Participation is optional (see 5th grade information below).
- This is a non-judged fair. All participants are entered into a prize drawing held at the end of the evening in the gym.
- Participating students will conduct their projects at home, create a display board, and present their project and board at the event on April 24th.
- A limited number of display boards will be available free (provided by the PTA) by requesting one in the registration form. 5th graders have priority.
- Limited funds for project supplies can be requested through school social worker Annie Cantrell.
- For 5th Grade Families: You may hear that your fifth grader has been assigned a science project this spring. Fifth graders are encouraged to present a science project at school independent of the PTA event. Because this school work occurs around the same time as the PTA’s evening Science and Engineering Fair, 5th graders are highly encouraged to enter their project into the PTA event. Participation in the PTA event is not required, but because students already have a great project, the PTA event is a chance to show it to a wider audience.
