Spring has Sprung for third-graders in the garden!
Things are revving up in the garden. In February, Nicole brought the kids outside to get reacquainted with the garden and check on plants that have been growing there since last fall. This was a great opportunity to look at and learn about the parts of plants that we eat. The lesson ended with a plant part scavenger hunt!
In early March, the kids talked about seed germination and planted their seeds for this year’s vegetable garden. They’ll watch seedlings emerge (always so exciting!) and tend the little plants over the next few weeks until they’re ready to go in the ground.
