The PTA is looking for someone to step into our Garden Coordinator Role!
This position’s tasks include:
-Brings garden needs to PTA attention and acts as a liaison between PTA, Garden Educator, and school
-Coordinates garden involvement in relevant school events (such as harvest festival and science night)
-Communicates with teachers, volunteers and Garden Educator to make sure lessons are scheduled and covered
-Organizes work parties in the Fall and Spring to clean up the garden- orders compost and mulch for the garden and requests tools and supplies from the District Self Help department.
-Meets regularly with the Garden Educator
-Works with the Volunteer Coordinator to set up sign up geniuses for the garden lessons and summer watering/maintenance schedule
-Oversees summer garden maintenance and ensures that volunteers have access to supplies and an understanding of upkeep needed
-Helps to maintain the garden
