6crickets registration for the Cascadia PTA Winter ’24 After School Enrichment session will begin on Mon., Jan. 1 at 9am and close on Tuesday, Jan. 16 at 11:59pm so enrichment volunteers can have enough time to finalize student rosters. Classes will begin the week of Monday, Jan. 29 and conclude by Friday, Apr. 5 before Spring Break starts.
Orlov Chess will be offering two winter chess classes (one on Monday and one on Friday) starting a week earlier than the rest of the program on Mon., Jan. 22. Please note that class transfers and late registrations will not be accommodated for the Winter session. Check with vendors directly for their withdrawal and refund policies.
Similar to the Fall ’23 session, two After School Club Coordinator volunteers are needed onsite daily to manage the after school program Monday through Friday. One volunteer stays for the first 30 minutes of the session to manage student headcount, call parents of no-show students and hold school buses if needed. The other volunteer stays for the entire session and oversees the student check in and check out process. Volunteers are also responsible for calling parents for student pick up if a class is canceled suddenly. Alternate volunteers are needed to help cover the main volunteers’ shifts if they are unavailable. If volunteers do not step up to manage the Winter enrichment classes, the enrichment program will be canceled.
