Cascadia Ultimate Frisbee Needs Girls!

Cascadia is fielding teams for the 3rd, 4th, and 5th grades in DiscNW’s Elementary School Mixed Gender League, and your child is invited to participate! While we have enough boys across all grades, we are in need of more girl-matching players in order to join the league.

Ultimate is very welcoming to new players and kids who don’t have much experience in team sports. It can also be a great compliment to your existing soccer routine. It is non-contact and self-refereed, with a heavy emphasis on sportsmanship, spirit, and fun.

The season runs from March 9 through mid-May, with games on Saturdays. All genders are welcome. Teams will practice once a week at Maple Leaf Park with tentative schedules as follows:
3rd Grade: 3:30 – 4:30 pm on Tuesdays
4th Grade: 3 – 4 pm on Wednesdays
5th Grade: 3:45 – 4:45 pm on Thursdays
Games are 5v5 with lots of running, throwing, catching, and cheering. Kids do NOT need any prior experience. The only expectation is that kids are excited to learn, run around, and have fun!

Please fill out our form if your child is interested in playing. Team rosters will be filled on a first-come, first-served basis, so we encourage you to sign up ASAP. League costs per player are flexible, based on financial situation.
