If you registered a fourth or fifth grader (or more than one!) for instrumental music, you should have received a copy of the email below, as well as a paper copy with information specific to your student and their registration.
As indicated in the packet, the Cascadia Annual Fund supports the bulk of the costs of instrumental music for our budding artists. To ensure equity, families who enroll in instrumental music are asked to contribute an extra donation, if possible. A suggested contribution of $100 per student can be made online via PayPal or by check made payable to Cascadia PTA. If you are able to bump your contribution up, it’s much appreciated; if you are not able to make the additional donation, you are still welcome to participate!

By this point your child should have brought home a packet with their specific instrument assignment (everyone got their first choice!) and class day/time/teacher as well as information about procuring an instrument and supplies.
I’m attaching the packet to this email as a pdf in case that is helpful to anyone – just please note that there are blanks in the first paragraph where each child’s specific information was mail merged into the printed version. If your child’s packet hasn’t come home yet, please give it a day or so and then ask the homeroom teachers (who have a master list) or Anna Baughman or myself.
After this point, please contact your child’s specific teacher (Ms Baughman or myself) with questions concerning their instrument/supplies, progress, practicing, etc. You can usually expect an answer to email within two school days.
