Race & Equity Parent Ed Book Talk

Childcare for school-aged children will be available. Cascadia Librarian Merrick Bodmer will be presenting on Cultural Diversity in Children’s Literature, focusing on how students can build cross-cultural empathy and cultural empowerment. Parents will gain insight into a framework for critically analyzing books so you can better engage in meaningful conversations with your students. You’ll also have the opportunity to share strategies with other parents and receive resources on further learning.
