5th Grade Class Gift

Each year, fifth grade families are encouraged to organize a fifth grade gift to the school. Last year, fifth graders donated books to the library, and we’ve opted to continue that practice. Our librarian, Merrick Bodmer, has created a list of books the Cascadia library could use. Look it over with your fifth grader and see if there is a book or two that they would like to donate to the library!

The list is online here.  And the Amazon wish list is here: http://a.co/fixjMN9

(If you wish to purchase the books from a local book store, Phinney Books is continuing the book fair for us! You can even purchase over the phone, and a parent will pick up the donations from the store.)

We have designed a special donation bookplate—a sticker to be placed on the inside cover of the donated book where your student can write their name. It’s a great way to encourage your child to feel like they are a part of helping the library grow! Simpy have your student take the purchased book to the library and drop it off with Ms. Bodmer or Mrs. Tee. Specify that it is a fifth grade gift purchase, and they will make sure your child gets to sign a bookplate and put it with the rest of the fifth grade donated books.
