Middle School Open Houses

As you may know Cascadia 5th graders will automatically be assigned to one of three middle schools for next year. Assignments are based on home address. Please continue reading for information about the upcoming middle school open houses.

Feeder schools, according to the current Student Assignment Plan, are listed below.

Hamilton International
Thursday, January 25, 2018 – 6:30 – 8:30pm.
Feeder Schools: Catharine Blaine (K-8), Coe, John Hay, Lawton, B. F. Day, Green Lake*, West Woodland

  • Tipton Blish, Principal,  will have a Welcome Speech in the Commons at 6:45 pm
  • School Departments will have tables set up in the Commons
  • Student Led Tours
  • We will have Music playing in the Hawks Nest
  • Teachers will be in classrooms

Please feel free to bring your rising 6th grader. They’ll have a chance to meet other students and teachers and ask questions. You can stay as long as you like–the welcome speech at 6:45 is the only time-specific element. There will also be parents on hand at the FOMAHI (Friends of Music at Hamilton International) and PTSA tables.

Join other 5th grade families for ice skating at the Winterfest Ice Rink at Seattle Center.

Saturday, December 9 from 4-6pm

It’s a great opportunity to also enjoy all the other seasonal festivities at the Seattle Center while you are there.

Check in at the Winterfest Ice Rink ticket booth, and say you are with the 5th grade Cascadia group.

A walk in the (Carkeek) park with salmon 11/18

Come see hundreds of returning chum and coho make their way into Piper’s Creek at Carkeek Park on Saturday November 18th, 12:45 PM. We’ll meet with a Salmon Steward who will chat with us about the salmon’s journey and this urban watershed.

Let’s meet at the Carkeek Park playground, siblings welcome. Bring a snack and be ready for a little trail walk. Rain or shine, the salmon will be there!Salmon in a river
