November Library News

What’s happening in the library this November? A lot!!

  • Global Reading Challenge: Fourth (4th) and fifth (5th) graders will have the chance to participate in the global reading challenge run by the Seattle public library (more info will be sent home in early November).
  • Author Visit:  Local author, David McCulloch, will visit with grades 3-5 on November 16th. Check out his book, Wullie the Mahaar Gome, on Amazon!
  • Read-aloud “Battle of the Books:” On November 2nd, Seattle Public Library’s, Erin Mohering will bring her “Battle of the Books” to Cascadia. Students in grades 1-2 will listen to some great picture books and vote for their favorite!
  • Book Fair: The Scholastic book fair will be back during parent-teacher conferences. The library and book fair will be open and available during conferences. Feel free to drop off your school age kids while you conference and buy a book on you way out! Proceeds go towards our book budget for the year.
