Earth Day with Earth Corps

Looking for a fun and meaningful activity to celebrate Earth Day this year? Join your fellow Dragons and volunteer with Earth Corps!

You do NOT need to sign up on the Earth Corps website, but please sign up here so we know how many people to expect.

When: Saturday, April 21, 10:00 a.m.-2:00 p.m.

Where: West Duwamish Greenbelt at Pigeon Point Park, West Seattle

What: Join EarthCorps, Nature Consortium, the Green Seattle Partnership, and the Duwamish Alive Coalition as we work in this important forest habitat within the West Duwamish Greenbelt. This greenbelt is the largest contiguous forest in Seattle and an important resource for the Puget Sound region.

A healthy forest helps filter pollution, prevents erosion and storm damage, provides habitat for wildlife and green spaces where people can enjoy nature. Aggressive weeds such as Himalayan blackberry and English ivy threaten the health of this forest, so we need your help! This Duwamish Alive! event is part of the Green Seattle Partnership’s effort to restore Seattle’s forested park land in the city.
